Spider boots were initially designed for the US Navy SEALs and Green Berets operators - Tier 1 special operations units, where top quality and the highest performance are necessary. The revised Spider II model is an advanced, mid-height, multipurpose shoe that perfectly blends high breathability with exceptional support, stability, and impact absorption. Designed as multipurpose boots, Spider IIs are highly versatile and practical in varied terrains during spring, summer, and fall. Thanks to their well-conceived design and high comfort, they are also suited for outdoor, military applications and standard, everyday use. The shoes are manufactured from AKU-designed AIR8000® waterproof textile, rubber, and high-quality polymers in a matte, non-reflective color palette. The shoes utilize several modern technologies and patented solutions. The tech includes the Vibram® Spider sole, die-cut EVA midsole, custom-fit IMS footbed, and Elica Natural Stride System. The AIR8000® system increases breathability elevenfold compared to similar textiles used in comparable boots. Even twenty years after its introduction, AIR8000® remains one of the most advanced technologies, ensuring exceptional shoe breathability. Additional polyurethane film heat treatment increases durability and minimizes humidity absorption. The Vibram® Spider sole is injection molded from high-quality rubber with a balanced grip that provides optimal performance in all terrains and situations requiring extreme adherence and total comfort. The Elica Natural Stride System applied in the construction is an anatomical outsole that recreates the foot's natural shape. The die-cut EVA midsole grants foot stabilization and exceptional fit for the best comfort over prolonged use. The custom-fit IMS technology was applied to the footbed to amplify the connection between the sole and midsole and provide optimal shock absorption and stabilization for the best possible comfort in extreme situations. A redesigned fast-lacing system makes lacing the boots easy and quick. The utilized materials and reinforced lace hole construction grant high wear resistance and system longevity.
